October 2021

October is here, but still we can enjoy a coffee out in the garden, but fairly wrapped up.

Time now to pull down the nasturtiums from my poly-hedge to allow the winter nudiflorum blooms (October to March) to show through. Last year, the nasturtiums survived until January, so I can't rely that there will be frosty nights sufficient to end their run.

Tommy Loftus' Autumn Vine shows that it is time for leaves to take on their Autumn attire.

This Flower of Paradise is on Maureen Broom's creeper of which I took a cutting long years ago.
